Most of the lights in the huge apartment block were still on. Lena could even [tex]\sf\purple{make}[/tex] out the shapes of people in some of the windows of the apartments from the park bench [tex]\sf\blue{where}[/tex] she sat, waiting for Helen to come home. Time passed [tex]\sf\pink{and}[/tex] the night air became rather chilly. The park was empty now and Lena was rather nervous about [tex]\sf\purple{being}[/tex] alone. Shivering with cold and anxiety, Lena felt like going home but she knew that she would not be able to sleep until she had [tex]\sf\blue{seen}[/tex] Helen and spoken to her. She had to ask her about [tex]\sf\pink{the}[/tex] diamond locket which she had seen that afternoon.
Every time a car pulled [tex]\sf\purple{up}[/tex], she stared hard, trying to see if [tex]\sf\green{it}[/tex] was Helen's car. An hour passed and then two. The lit up windows in the building began to darken, one [tex]\sf\purple{by}[/tex] one. At two o'clock in the morning, she finally decided to give up. As she was just getting up to go home, she saw Helen's flashy sports car [tex]\sf\red{turn}[/tex] around the corner and slide into a parking bay.
