HELP NOW!!! EXPERIMENT: CONSTELLATIONS
The Zodiac has its origins historically in the study of astronomy and directional positioning for sea-faring ships and mapmakers. The original twelve points of the Zodiac were used to more precisely define the position of the sun, moon, and planets. The Zodiac used the placement of stars as this marker. Unfortunately, over the years the line between astronomy and astrology has become blurred. It is the intention of this curriculum to only study and emphasize the astronomical value and history of the Zodiac.

The zodiac constellations can be seen in the part of the sky traveled by the sun and the moon. Different constellations are visible at different seasons of the year. The following investigation will help you figure out why and show you a way to predict which constellations will rise and set next.

Here are your goals for this lesson:

Draw and construct a Zodiac Constellation Finder
Chart the different constellations as they appear after sunset
