Task 8. Height and self-perception (25 marks) In this task, we consider how self-perception is related to height. (a) (5 marks) Generate a scatter plot of the self-perceived attractiveness to members of the opposite sex and the self-perceived attractiveness to members of the same sex, for the males. Describe the relationship between them. (b) (5 marks) Fit a linear regression model of self-perceived attractiveness to members of the opposite sex against height for males. Write down the fitted model and its R² value. (c) (10 marks) Repeat (a) and (b) for the females. (d) (5 marks) Based on the analysis above, compare and contrast how height affects one's self-perceived attractiveness (both types) for females and males.
